If you are struggling with deep tissue massage and clients requesting more pressure,
this is the class for you!

Transform your practice, refine palpation skills, and help your clients attain unprecedented healing outcomes with Cross Fiber Techniques. Extend your therapeutic portfolio integrating cross fiber friction techniques as both a full body and site-specific modality. An emphasis is placed on attaining depth, not increasing pressure. Research suggests that sustained or deep friction techniques are capable of altering the consistency and density in deep fascia helping to restore tissue glide. Cross Fiber Techniques positively influence fascial behavior to maintain mobility in soft tissue, decrease dysfunction and pain, reduce adhesion and desensitization, produce a therapeutic inflammatory process enhancing increased blood and lymph flow which aids in tissue rehydration and healing.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify through palpation, muscle fiber direction
  • Describe and demonstrate the clinical process utilized in corrective massage therapy
  • Create holistic fascia focused customized treatment strategies
  • Describe the benefits of creating heat using friction techniques
  • Describe the intention and benefits of using cross friction techniques
  • Identify dry, adherent, densified, and damaged soft tissue / fascia
  • Demonstrate the use of cross fiber techniques using the thenar eminence, supported fingers and soft fist
  • Demonstrate a full body cross fiber massage
  • Demonstrate biomechanically efficient body mechanics
  • Collaborate with amazing colleagues
  • Facilitate unprecedented client outcomes
  • Transformational joy sharing the gift of natural intuitive healing touch
