This is an in depth class on how to utilize hospice massage care for the hospice/palliative client, at all levels of the dying process. We will be looking at the therapeutic care of all involved including the massage therapist.

Some of the topics covered in this hospice massage class include:

  • Death Awareness
  • Hospice care model
  • Active listening
  • History of Hospice
  • The dying process and what a Massage looks like.
  • Self care for the therapist
  • Marketing yourself

You will also have the opportunity to work hands on with geriatric residents. This class qualifies for 16 NCBTMB CEUs.

Presenter: Elizabeth Munson Erbrecht, is an authority in Hospice Massage being hands on for the past 15 years, having held multiple positions, Volunteer, Volunteer Coordinator, Massage Therapist and Spiritual Care Coordinator. With that level of experience it lead her to build and implement massage therapy programs at 3 different hospices. That included teaching the staff and families the importance of Massage Therapy.

She is a NCBTMB approved provider teaching CEU classes on Hospice Massage.

If you are traveling by plane, please confirm the workshop with the school before buying your ticket. Occasionally we do have to cancel workshops due to low enrollment. If a workshop is cancelled for any reason our liability is limited to a return of the deposit paid. If you cancel your participation in a workshop within 21 days of the workshop, there will be no refund of the deposit paid. Cancellation earlier than 21 days before the workshop will incur a $25 processing fee. The balance of your deposit will be refunded.
