There are three parts to this myofascial release massage workshop;
- First the introduction of at least 24 new myofascial release massage stokes (many of which I invented).
- Second, there are two comprehensive recipe approaches, one for low back pain and the other for neck pain. The recipe approaches include the new strokes and a hands-on review of the relevant strokes from the first two courses.
- Third, this course includes basic strategies for evaluation and treatment, in other words, going beyond recipe approaches to knowing how to translate what you see, what you feel, and what the client tells you into an effective course of treatment.
The Advanced Myofascial Release Massage Class represents a real difference from other hands-on modalities in its simplicity, its underlying methodology, the relative ease it takes to learn and become competent, and its immediate effectiveness. The course, more than the first two, is almost all hands-on.
Sunday you will have the opportunity to bring to the seminar family, friends, and clients. The class will work on them under my guidance, using what you have learned earlier in the weekend. In past classes this has been a time of real miracles! Also, we will film the work on those you bring to class. New strokes, new ways of looking at the body, and anything that seems valuable will be recorded and then sent to you on a DVD.
You do not have to be certified in the Myofascial Release Massage to take this class but you do have to have completed Part 1 and 2 of the Myofascial workshops offered by Howard Rontal or Christopher A. Morakis.
As part of the seminar tuition you will receive a 122 page fully illustrated manual that includes a summary of all the key points in the seminar.

Presenter: Howard Rontal has been a Certified Hellerwork Practitioner since 1985 and earned undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Michigan in the early 70s. His Hellerwork Training was conducted by Joseph Heller. He took five Hellerwork continuing education seminars in the first three years of his practice and continued to study privately with Heller during that time. Howard is also a Certified Myoskeletal Alignment Therapist (the work of Erik Dalton), a Certified Structural Integrator SM, and is licensed as a massage therapist by the Board of Chiropractic Examiners, State of Maryland.
He’s been teaching and expanding the Myofascial Release Massage since 1991. And has taught at well over a dozen massage schools and clinics across the east coast and Midwest. Howard has certified three other excellent bodyworkers to teach his seminars — currently in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia. Howard’s teaching is designed to help you learn as much as possible in the relatively short period of a weekend seminar. His seminars have been praised for being as fun as they are educational.
