This is a foundational course that gives therapists the basic understanding and techniques to do highly effective work. Dr. Simons came to believe that Trigger Point Therapy should be performed with little to no pain. In this course you will practice muscle length testing, postural evaluation, and treating trigger points with very little effort. This approach helps the client and saves your body. It also works.

Presenter: Richard Finn LMT, CMTPT, MCSTT – Richard is a graduate of the Academy of Myotherapy and Physical Fitness and the Academy of Health Sciences (Fort Sam Houston USAR – Physical Therapy Specialist, He is not a PT). He earned his CMT through the Life Credit Program at the Colorado School of Healing Arts. He is a Board Certified member of the National Association of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapists, and served as president from 1992-94. He was the Director and a core instructor at Pittsburgh School of Pain Management for 18 years. Richard has served on the Board of Advisors of the Fibromyalgia Research Foundation, and on the Executive Committee of the National Association of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapists. He has coauthored a set of wall charts of muscle length tests with C. M. Shifflett and a textbook Myofascial Pain Syndrome: Manual Trigger Point & S-EMG Biofeedback Therapy Methods with Gabriel Sella MD. If you are traveling by plane, please confirm the workshop with the school before buying your ticket. Occasionally we do have to cancel workshops due to low enrollment. If a workshop is cancelled for any reason our liability is limited to a return of the deposit paid. If you cancel your participation in a workshop within 21 days of the workshop, there will be no refund of the deposit paid. Cancellation earlier than 21 days before the workshop will incur a $25 processing fee. The balance of your deposit will be refunded.
